No Antibiotics
Conventional, and some "natural", farms put antibiotics in feed and water. This helps keep animals healthy while they're living in close confinement and makes them grow faster. Experts believe bacteria resistant to these antibiotics can pass into humans through meat, resulting in increased antibiotic resistance in humans. That's why Nature's Premium farmers never use antibiotics. If an animal is sick, it is treated, and removed from the natural program.
No Growth Promotants...Ever
Steroids, hormones and growth-promoting drugs are typically used at conventional industrial farms to speed growth. Nature’s Premium farmers don’t risk the animals’ health or yours. Our animals are raised the natural way without the use of growth promotants of any kind.
No preservatives
Using preservatives and artificial additives to enhance the flavor and texture of deli products is a common practice. Nature's Premium products are all-natural and preservative free. Even our sliced deli meats and cheeses maintain the same fresh-cut quality you'll find with our full-service deli products. That's because we use high-pressure pasteurization instead of chemical preservatives.
Nature's Premium All-Natural Deli Meats and Cheeses contain:
- No salt solution in our ham
- No nitrates or nitrites in our pastrami, salami, corned beef or ham
- No MSG in our meats and cheeses
- No rBGH in our cheeses
- Research shows preservatives in food will have a negative long-term effect on our health. Nature's Premium prefers to use high quality pork for hams instead of pumping poor quality meat with a salt solution.
- Studies have linked nitrate and nitrite consumption to cancer. So we cure our meats naturally with celery salt and carrot juice.
- Nature's Premium relies on natural, high quality ingredients for flavor, not MSG.
- Nature's Premium never gives dairy cows Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormones (rBGH), the genetically engineered drug that many farmers administer to increase milk production.
