All of our bacon and sausage products are made from 100% Nature’s Premium Brand Pork. Our bacon is made the traditional way – hand rubbed with all-natural seasonings and slow-smoked for several hours in small batches. This ensures a mouth-watering, memorable eating experience. Our raw bacon is available in 12 oz. boxes and 16 oz. stack-packs. Our cooked bacon, the only fully-cooked antibiotic-free bacon on the market, is available in a handy 12-14 slice package.


Our sausages have been painstakingly developed by our master sausage makers to provide a delicious balance of quality pork flavor, and the perfect seasoning profile. Available in nine traditional flavors including Bratwurst, Italian Sausage, Franks (both traditional and coarse-grind) and Chorizo, each link is about three ounces and comes in a natural-casing. The sausages are ground a bit more coarsely than most other sausages to help accentuate juicy, meaty flavor. All sausages are fully cooked for your convenience. Just heat and serve. (You can char-mark them on the grill for best results!)

No Antibiotics

Conventional, and some "natural", farms put antibiotics in feed and water. This helps keep pigs healthy while they're living in close confinement and makes them grow faster. Experts believe bacteria resistant to these antibiotics can pass into humans through meat, resulting in increased antibiotic resistance in humans. That's why Nature's Premium farmers never use antibiotics. If an animal is sick, it is removed from the natural program and treated.


No Growth Promotants

While steroids and growth-promoting hormones are illegal for use in pigs, a substance called Paylean® is used at conventional farms to promote faster growth. It's a synthetic drug that artificially increases muscle mass and tends to make animals stressed. Nature's Premium farmers don't risk the animals' health or yours. Our animals are raised the natural way without the use of growth promotants of any kind.


No Pesticides

Many industrial farms also apply pesticides directly to animals to treat lice, mange and flies. Because of Nature's Premium's high standards of animal sanitation and hygiene, we eliminate the need for applying pesticides.

Superior Breeding

We raise hearty Duroc pigs, an American breed known for good health and delicious pork. Duroc is to pork what Angus is to beef. Because of this high quality, we don't have to pump Nature's Premium pork full of salt solution like most companies do to enhance flavor and texture. Pumping results in increased sodium content- up to three times the amount found in our pork.

Air-Chilled

Nature’s Premium Brand fresh pork is produced in a state-of-the-art plant that employs cutting edge air-chill technology. Technically speaking, the air-chilling process helps to maintain the meat’s critical pH level. This level gives the pork a darker “reddish” color and locks in muscle moisture. The process contributes to meat tenderness, desirable texture and a more pure pork flavor. And because the carcasses are not chilled conventionally using cold water baths and sprinklers, nothing extraneous is being added to the meat, providing a greater yield when cooked. No preservatives

Using preservatives and artificial additives to enhance the flavor and texture of bacon and sausage products is a common practice. Nature's Premium products are all-natural and preservative free. Our bacon and sausage offerings are 100% uncured, meaning they do not use nitrates or nitrites as preservatives. Rather, we use natural ingredients such as celery juice and sea salts to flavor these products.

No nitrates or nitrites

Studies have linked nitrate and nitrite consumption to cancer. So we cure our meats naturally with celery salt and carrot juice.


No liquid smoke

All of the classic smokey flavor in our bacon and sausages comes from domestic hardwood, such as hickory and applewood. Our products spend hours in real smokehouses - the old-fashioned way. We don't cut corners with liquid smoke.

No Byproducts

To save money, some conventional pork operations feed animal by-products to their pigs. Nature's Premium pigs are nourished with a strict vegetarian diet of corn and soybean meal, most of which is grown on the same family farms.

When pigs are treated poorly, they can become dangerous to themselves and their handlers. Nature's Premium is dedicated to treating them well throughout their lives. At the farm, they're raised gently. In transport, we require drivers to be certified through the Trucker Quality Assurance Program, which ensures animals are handled with care.
